What this screening measures
The test plays tones at increasing frequencies separately per ear. You indicate when you no longer hear the tone. The result is a rough upper limit โ useful for tracking changes over time, not for clinical diagnosis.
Limitations
Browser output is not calibrated. Background noise, headphone quality, and volume settings all affect results. Professional audiometry uses controlled SPL in sound-treated booths.
